A donor has approached us last month wanting to donate for 3 shallow wells. From our list of 7 shallow wells in western Kenya only 2 were left. We contacted Al Muntada in Kenya and asked if there is another community in need of a shallow well. They told us there are many communities in need and they will get back to us. We informed the donor and he made the donation.
Recently Al Muntada informed us that they have identified a community in Shella – Malindi, eastern side of the country which is in need of a shallow well. We got all the paperwork prepared and this morning we have transferred the funds for the 3 shallow wells.
Next we are looking at another organisation in Kenya empowering persons suffering from HIV aids and poverty by setting up an income generating activity for them and training them on how to run their project.
