Over 1000+ people to benefit for this
This year we aimed to diversify our project and also to diversify the locations of our project and after exploring a few options we have not found other self-sustaining projects that benefits a community at large in places where we have reliable contact on the ground who can oversee the project and pass ownership to the community.
Shallow Wells are effective in delivering both self-sustainability and benefiting community at large including their animals. Water is the source of life and as such it is high on our list of primary needs.
Therefore we contacted our contact on the ground in Kenya and asked them if there are any communities living in low water table area who are in need of a Shallow Well. The presented us with the following list of villages.
InshaAllah (God Willing), we are going to start the following projects in October 2015.
- Project 13 – Shallow Well at Bugengi Village
- Project 14 – Shallow Well at Nanderema Village
